Greeting
The 20th century was an era of construction, while the 21st century is said to be an era of maintenance and environmental consciousness. For those of us living in the 21st century, protecting the global environment and effectively utilizing resources are obligations we must fulfill. Our surroundings are filled with infrastructure built in the 20th century, such as bridges, highways, railways, skyscrapers, plants, and factories. Going forward, it is our challenge to carefully maintain and utilize these social assets through appropriate repairs.
By performing surface treatments like thermal spraying and shot peening, we can impart desired properties such as corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) resistance to existing structures and components without the need for replacement. Additionally, compared to painting, thermal spraying uses fewer organic solvents that can harm the ozone layer and does not require waste liquid treatment, making it a clean processing method well-suited for the 21st century.
Since our founding 70 years ago, Kanmeta Engineering has been working alongside our customers to solve their problems through thermal spraying technology. However, thermal spraying is still not widely recognized. We hope to further promote the awareness and utilization of this technology.
