 1)High heat input from welding causes sensitization, leading to damage of the base material.
 2)Thermal spraying has limitations in coating thickness, making it difficult to provide sufficient environmental barrier capabilities in
  certain conditions.
 3)Metal putties like Devcon and Belzona do not provide the necessary strength.
